PSL Datatrack is proud to have supported British Manufacturing since the company’s establishment in 1988 and all of our software is designed, developed and supported from our offices in Bracknell, Berkshire.
We have been members of the BTMA (British Turned Parts Manufacturers Association) since 2003. As Technical Members, the BTMA recognise our commitment to the subcontract and Make-To-Order industries.
We are pleased to have such an outstanding customer base and support customers working in a wide range of industries (including Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Engineering and Fabrication) on a daily basis. Our customers vary from small to medium subcontract precision engineering companies, including numerous BTMA Manufacturing Members. Indeed, the current president of the association, the immediate past president and many before them are PSL Datatrack users.
As a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, many of our customers have been helping the national fight by manufacturing components for ventilators and other medical products. It has been extremely rewarding for us as a business to support these clients in such demanding and uncertain times.
Aside from our customers, it has been fantastic to see UK Manufacturing working together to get the job done. This includes the suppliers of materials and machine tools as well as the manufacturers. We hope that the industry will continue in this vein not only in the time that remains against the Coronavirus but also long into the future, whenever things can return to relative normality. The sudden and swift impact of the pandemic and resulting lockdown will force all of us to reflect on how we run our businesses and it is reassuring to know that there is a strong, skilled sector behind us.
What has been clear to us at this time is how important a UK-based production control system has been to our customers. The style of production and the manner in which business is conducted can vary between countries, with some factors legislative and others purely commercial. It is crucial that such business critical systems are able to react and respond to these ever changing requirements and a system designed in and focussed on the UK will do just that.
As an example, one of our customers producing parts for ventilators needed a customised version of a report to help their medical customers see their current call-off order status. We were quickly able to develop the report to our customer’s specification and it can now be emailed hourly or daily to help show any customer what is still outstanding and what is to be delivered when.
Therefore, if you are a small to medium manufacturing business looking to streamline your entire production process from quotation to invoice, or perhaps even wanting to achieve or maintain ISO accreditation, please speak to us today.
